SANA: US military intensifies its operations of stealing Syrian oil from al-Jazeera region

DAMASCUS, Aug. 21 (YPA) – The US occupation forces have intensified their operations of stealing Syrian natural resources in recent days, with its forces stealing dozens of tankers loaded with Syrian oil from Syrian al-Jazeera oilfields and transporting them to their bases in Iraqi territory, the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

“The US occupation troops transferred on Sunday morning a convoy of 137 tankers loaded with stolen oil from the Syrian oilfields, in collusion with the QSD militia, to their bases in Iraqi territory, through the illegitimate Mahmoudiya crossing in al- Yarubiya countryside,”  local sources told SANA.

The sources added that the convoy went out in two batches, the first batch included 122 tankers and the second 15 tankers.

On Aug. 16, the US occupation forces stole 65 tankers of oil from the Syrian al-Jazeera region and transported them to their bases in Iraqi territory.
