Coalition decides to empty all military offices in Marib city

MARIB, Aug. 16 (YPA) – A Command and Control Center of the Saudi-led coalition forces on Tuesday issued a decision to empty the city of Marib from all offices of the Ministry of Defense in the Aden government.

A document issued by the main command and control center in Riyadh, earlier this week, with an appendix titled “Secret” stressed the transfer of all bodies of the “Ministry of Defense of the coalition, to Aden city, south of Yemen.”

The coalition directed the establishment of alternative branches of the ministry, which was controlled by the Islah party, in a step described as pulling the rug out from under the feet of the Islah military leaders, and empowering the leaders backed by the Emirates in Aden.

Observers suggested the decision to transfer the ministry from the city of Marib to Aden, as a catastrophic step in the dismissal of thousands of Islah militants, who are accused of appointing thousands of teachers to high-ranking military positions.
