Army snipers shoot dead coalition-backed commander in Asir

ASIR, June 24 (YPA) – The commander of the second battalion in the Fifth Brigade border guards of Saudi-backed militiamen was killed on Saturday by the sniper unit of the Yemen army in border front of Asir, a military official told Yemen Press Agency on Sunday.

The sniper unit of army shot dead the commander, Sadiq al-Ba’ni and six of his companions, the official added.

The Yemeni army has announced the death of the 1st Battalion of the 5th Brigade of the Border Guard commander,  Musa Ali al-Qubati in front of Alb border province when the army repelled  4 of militiamen’s infiltration attempts, killing and wounding dozens of the militiamen.
