Fire breaks out at house next to UN building in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – A massive fire broke out at a house on the Siteen Street next to the United Nations building in the capital, Sanaa, Civil Defense Authority said in a statement on late Monday.

The firefighters battled the blaze and were able to get it under control inside one room and prevent it from spreading to the neighboring rooms and the rest of the floors, according to the statement.

The statement added, the fire is believed to have been caused by a faulty electrical circuit.

No casualties have been reported.

The Civil Defense Authority called on citizens to adhere to security,  public safety measures and self-protection to prevent risks of all kinds.
