Trump requests FBI returns seized documents

WORLD, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Former President Donald Trump on Sunday requested that documents seized from his Florida resort and home during a federal search this past week be returned.

“Oh great! It has just been learned that the FBI, in its now famous raid of Mar-a-Lago, took boxes of privileged ‘attorney-client’ material, and also ‘executive’ privileged material, which they knowingly should not have taken,”  Trump wrote on his social media site, Truth Social.

“By copy of this TRUTH, I respectfully request that these documents immediately returned [sic] to the location from which they were taken. Thank you!” he added.

On Aug. 8, FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home with a search warrant.

The US Department of Justice is investigating the discovery of record boxes containing classified information transferred to the property from the White House after Trump’s presidential term expired.
