Yemeni army cuts off coalition forces’ supply line in Western Coast
HODEIDAH, June 23 (YPA) – Yemeni army forces managed on Friday evening to cut off the supply line of the coalition forces in both Aljah and Tuhaita areas, Field sources told Yemen Press Agency on Saturday.
Coalition forces have resorted to withdraw from the confrontations and returning to try opening their supply line from the south, the sources said.
According to military officials, the sniper units carried out operations during the past hours, while the confrontation on the western coast escalated after securing large areas of traffic lines around the siege imposed on the supply of coalition forces.
Some Hodeidah districts have witnessed battles between the Yemeni army and coalition forces for weeks, in an attempt to move towards Hodeidah and control its ports.
According to the United Nations, about 5,200 Yemeni families have been displaced since the beginning of this month.
