SANAA, June 23 (YPA) – Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Saturday said that the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s trend in Yemen has changed.
“The Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia has changed, and now there are secret prisons, torture and conflicting agendas among the coalition states,” Qatari media quoted the minister as saying.
“The goal of Qatar, which was part of the coalition in 2015, was to gather Yemenis on the GCC initiative (which its role ended early in 2014), but the whole trend has changed,” said the Qatari minister in a speech he delivered before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels.
He confirmed that his country does not support the Arab coalition’s position in Yemen war, but “we support the sitting of parties to the crisis at one table to find a solution.”
“Qatar will never support Iran’s position or any other party in the devastation of Yemen,” he added.
