SHABWA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The UAE is heading to explode the military situation with Saudi-backed Islah militants in the oil province of Shabwa, eastern Yemen.
Local sources affirmed that a decision issued by the Shabwa governor, Awad Al-Awlaqi, appointed by the UAE, who overthrew a number of leaders of the “special forces” of the Islah party on Saturday, would head to detonate the military situation in the city of Ataq.
The sources indicated that the UAE sent hundreds of militants during the past hours from Balhaf camp, with 40 military vehicles to Ataq Airport, and the headquarters of the local authority in the province.
other sources reported that the commander of the “Special Forces” Abed Rabbo Lakab, who is loyal to the Islah Party, refused the decision to dismiss him until the city of Ataq evacuated from the “Shabwa Defense” militia in exchange for his militants leaving Markha district.
The tribal mediation is trying to contain the military situation and calm down between Lakab and Al-Awlaqi, to implement the decision in a peaceful manner.
