Industry Minister stresses importance of cooperation with WTO

SANAA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – Minister of Trade and Industry, Mohammed Sharaf Al-Mutahar, stressed on Sunday the need to continue communication with the World Trade Organization (WTO) to develop the national economy and achieve the integration of Yemen into the global economy.

During the meeting held today in Sanaa, the minister discussed mechanisms for activating the Liaison and Coordination Office with the WTO to prepare a plan for re-working suspended projects and reactivating channels of communication in a way that contributes to developing the economic sector and improving indicators.

Al-Mutahar directed the Communications Office in coordination with the various sectors of the ministry, as well as the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to raise the level of keeping pace with the national economy with global developments and adherence to international standards in various fields.
