Russian defense accuses Azerbaijani forces of violating ceasefire by in Karabakh

WORLD, Aug. 04 (YPA) – The Russian defense ministry reported on Tuesday that in the past 24 hours, three cases of breach of the ceasefire by Azerbaijani armed forces were registered in the region which is under the responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping forces.

The Russian peacekeeping leadership also released a statement, accusing Azerbaijan of violation of the ceasefire regime around Saribaba.

 “The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with representatives of the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, are taking measures to stabilise the situation,” the report said.

Meanwhile, The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence announced on Wednesday that its  forces took control over several heights in Karabakh , in response to the Armenian army’s violation of the ceasefire agreement , signed on November 10, 2020 in Moscow.
