Pakistani Minister: Tehran, Islamabad oppose foreign intervention in the region

WORLD, Aug. 03 (YPA) – Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif said on  Tuesday that Tehran and Islamabad support regional solutions for regional challenges and oppose the presence of foreign powers in the region.

“The unjust US embargo on Iran is a major obstacle to the development of cooperation between the two countries,” Asif said in an interview with IRNA, stressing that lifting of the embargo allows for the supply of gas, electricity and many Iranian goods that Pakistan need.”

There is an immense possibility for cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, which are neighbors and have thousands of years of common history, Khawaja Muhammad Asif added.

“The trade between the two countries will be enhanced in the future,” he added.
