Oil derivatives crisis spark angry popular rallies in Marib

MARIB, July. 28 (YPA) – Several angry popular rallies were staged on Thursday in the oil-rich city of Marib, which is the control of the Saudi-led coalition, due to the stifling crisis in oil derivatives.

Activists on social media reported hundreds of cars waiting in long queues on the main roads for getting the low price from the oil derivatives.

Journalist Ali Owaida attributed on Facebook the oil derivatives crisis in the city of Marib to “the cooperation of rogues and thieves in the oil company and the Oil Derivatives Committee,” accusing them of fabricating the biggest oil crisis.

The oil derivatives crisis has sparked widespread popular anger among the residents of the city of Marib, warning of demonstrations against the Islah authorities in the coming days, if the stifling crisis continues.
