Rain of varying intensity expected in several Yemeni provinces: Meteorology

SANAA, July. 26 (YPA) – Rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, will be expected in a number of provinces during the coming 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology.

In its weather bulletin, the Center affirmed that the rain would prevail over the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Bayda, Marib and Jawf, as well as Lahij, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhalea, Rayma, Mahweet, Hajjah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada.

Meanwhile, strong monsoon winds, with speeds ranging between 30-40 knots, would hit the Socotra Archipelago, and 15-25 knots in the Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The center warned citizens against being in the valleys and waterways as a result of rains , calling motorists to warn against the low horizontal visibility on mountain roads due to heavy low clouds.
