ADEN, July. 21 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected on heavy rain across Yemen provinces within the coming 24 hours.
In its bulletin, the center expected rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, on the mountainous heights of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada.
Rain of varying intensity would be also expected on the hilltops and deserts of the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Bayda, and part of Marib and Jawf.
It stated that the intense monsoon winds, whose speed between 30-40 knots would target the Socotra archipelago and 15-25 knots on the Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts and the entrance to Bab Al-Mandab.
The center warned citizens in the provinces where rain expected to avoid valleys and water ways because rainfall and the decrease in horizontal visibility on mountain roads.
