Meteorology predicts rainfall on several provinces

SANAA, July. 20 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected rain of varying intensity in a number of Yemen provinces within the coming 24 hours.

The center stated in its weather bulletin that rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, would prevail over the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan and Bayda, Marib, Jawf, Mahweet, Raymah, Hajjah, Sanaa, Amran, Dhalea, Saada Taiz, Ibb, and Taiz.

It pointed to severe monsoon winds, with speeds ranging between 30-40 knots in the Socotra archipelago, and 15-25 knots in the Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The center warned citizens in the provinces where rain expected to avoid being in the valleys and water ways, calling on motorists to drive carefully on the mountainous roads.
