Power outage increases to 16 hours in Aden

ADEN, Jul. 19 (YPA) – A power outage in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden has escalated, as power plants not being supplied with fuel.

Local sources confirmed that power outage’s hours in Aden’s directorates increased  to more than 16 hours per day.

Aden Electricity had earlier warned of a complete shutdown of electricity service in the city in the coming days, following the coalition government’s continued non-payment of energy companies’ dues.

Citizens in Aden are living in a tragic state as a result of the rising summer temperature and the continuous power outages in all neighborhoods of the city.
