Gas company warns citizens against using gas cylinders of unknown origin

SANAA, July. 18 (YPA) – Yemen’s Gas Company warned citizens on Monday against using cooking gas cylinders that do not conform to specifications and standards in order to preserve their safety and lives.

A statement issued by the company clarified the field reports sent by the company’s employees in their visit to the market was noticed the spread of new gas cylinders of unknown origin that pose a threat to the lives of citizens.

The statement stated that these reports indicated that many black market dealers had unloaded liquefied cooking gas substance from cylinders that conform to the specifications to non-conforming cylinders.

It stressed that buying cooking gas from the black market and discharging gas from one cylinder to another in unsafe ways endangers citizens and public and private properties.

The company renewed its demand to the relevant authorities not to allow the entry of gas cylinders that do not conform to specifications and standards in order to preserve the safety of citizens.
