Recruit killed, 4 injured in armed clashes in Aden

ADEN, Jul. 17 (YPA) – At least a recruit of brigades loyal to the UAE was killed and four others injured in armed clashes in the port of city of Aden, southern Yemen, on Sunday.

Local media reported that the commander of the so-called “Amaliqa Brigades” forces, Abu Zara’a al-Mahrami, instructed his gunmen to exercise restraint, following the bloody clashes.

Sources reported that an armed attack was carried out by members of Al-Arish police, affiliated with the security belt of the Southern Transitional Council, towards a post, in which the recruits of the “First Amaliqa Brigade” are stationed in Al-Arish neighborhood of Khormaksar district.

The sources explained that the attack resulted in the death of one of the Amaliqa recruits and the injury of 4 elements from Al-Arish police.
