Iraq: PMF thwarts terrorist plot in south of Salah al-Din province

WORLD, Jul. 16 (YPA) – The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced Friday that it had foiled a terrorist plot to target Makishifa, in south of Salah al-Din province.

 “A force from the 35th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization carried out a security operation in the Makishifa village ,  south of Salah al-Din province, where it found 280 launchers and 60 mortar shells belonging to the remnants of the terrorist ISIS,” the PMF said in a statement.

“ISIS intends to use the weapons to carry out terrorist operations against citizens, mass mobilization and security forces, but our forces are on the lookout for suspicious movements,” the statement said.
