3 civilians, mostly children, injured in Sanaa, Hodeida

PROVINCES, Jul. 15 (YPA) – Three civilians, most of them children, were seriously injured in Hodeida and Sanaa provinces as a result of the explosion of a mine and a cluster bomb left over by the US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces.

In a statement issued Friday, the Executive Center for Mine Action stated that one of the civilians sustained various injuries while carrying out his daily work on his farm in Al-Tuhita District of Hodieda, while two other children were injured as a result of the explosion of a cluster bomb from the remnants of the air raids in Al-Hanshat area in Nihm District of Sanaa province.

The Center indicated that despite the high casualties of the coalition weapons during the humanitarian truce in many provinces, the file of the war remnants was not included in the negotiations.

It attributed the reason for the high casualties to the lack of survey devices and equipment required to disinfect the infested areas, as a result of the coalition’s denial of their entry.
