Coalition violates armistice in Yemen with 13,279 violations within 104 days

PROVINCES, Jul. 15 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces continued to violate the humanitarian and military truce in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations for the 104th consecutive day, with 13,279 violations.

A military source in Sanaa confirmed on Thursday that the coalition forces committed 157 violations of the humanitarian and military truce, during the past 24 hours.

The source explained that the violations included 41 violations by the flaying of armed reconnaissance and espionage aircraft over the airspace of the provinces of Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, Hodeida, and Bayda, and the border fronts.

The coalition forces also committed two violations with air strikes by armed reconnaissance aircraft on the homes of citizens and the positions of the Sanaa forces, east and north-east of Hays district, Hodeida province.

The source pointed out that 104 violations were monitored by shooting at the homes of citizens and the positions of Sanaa forces in the provinces of Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Dhalea, and Hodeida and the border fronts.

The source indicated that 25 violations were recorded with artillery bombardment on the provinces of Hajjah, Saada, Hodeida and the border fronts, targeting the sites of the army and the popular committees in Haradh, Al-Mazraq and Bani Hassan areas in Hajjah.

The coalition forces also targeted, with artillery shelling, the positions of the Sanaa forces in Al-Madafin, Baqim, Al-Malahidh, and Sheda areas in Saada province, as a result of which the citizen Youssef Yahya Ibrahim Siraj was injured.

The source added that intense artillery bombardment targeted the positions of the Sanaa forces, east, northeast, south and southeast of Hays district in Hodeida, in Maqbna district of Taiz, and in Tabat Kamela and Al-Amuda areas in Jizan.
