Police arrest Saudi-backed gunmen disguised as women in Lahj

LAHJ, June 22 (YPA) – Two Saudi-backed gunmen disguised as women were arrested on Friday at a checkpoint in al-Hawta district of Lahj province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The two arrested were heading to Aden city after they fled the fierce military confrontations with the Yemeni army in Bayda front, which led to the killing of commander of the 153th Brigade, Colonel Ahmed al-Aqeli, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Bayda province.

Dozens of southern recruits in ranks of the coalition forces resort to disguise in their return journey to their homes, so as not to be identified at security points and then be held in the UAE prisons and detention centers in various southern cities.
