MOSCOW, Jun. 23 (YPA) – Kirill Stremosov, deputy head of the Russian-backed administration for the Kherson region, said there were 12 foreign ships at the port of Kherson that could not enter the Black Sea because of the corridor was closed by the Ukrainian army.
“Twelve foreign ships are still in the port. Most of them are Turkish, and there is also a Syrian ship and a Seychelles-flagged ship.”
According to Stremosov, ships could not leave the port because of the actions of the Ukrainian army, which had mined the Dnieper-Bug estuary water .
During the Russian special operation, the armed forces took control of the Kherson area and part of Azov from the Zaporizhzhia region, southern Ukraine.
