Islah militants storm police station in Taiz

TAIZ, Jun. 17 (YPA) – An armed group affiliated with the Islah party, Yemen branch of Muslim Brotherhood, stormed and looted a police station in Taiz province, southwestern Yemeni, local sources said.

According to the sources, gunmen on board five military pickup vehicles by Osama al-Qardai , the commander of the 170th Air Defense Brigade, stormed the al-Jadairy Police Station in the city and abducted five members along with their military pickup vechile.

Al-Qardai’s  gunmen took the security members to  unknown destination, one of the sources said.

This comes two days after gunmen loyal to Islah stormed Riyadh Hospital in Taiz city and indiscriminately shot at its cadres and patients, killing one person and injuring four others.
