MOSCOW, Jun. 16 (YPA) – Dmitry Sergeyevich Peskov, the Russian presidential spokesperson, said the United States, by continuing to arm Ukraine, is “prolonging the problems” of the country.
“In this way, the United States is prolonging Ukraine’s problems and troubles.” The United States is extending this bad period for Ukraine, and for the people of Ukraine.”
After the start of Russia’s special military operation in Donbas on February 24, the United States and its NATO allies increased their arms pumping into Ukraine. Under the Lindley Act, Washington has allocated tens of billions of dollars to fund military aid to Ukraine.
For its part, Russia has repeatedly stressed that the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine will only prolong the conflict and shipments of such weapons will become legitimate targets of the Russian Air Force.
