Secretary-General of Humanitarian Affairs Council calls on donor countries to open offices in Sanaa

SANAA, Jun. 15 (YPA) – The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, on Wednesday called on the representatives of the donor countries to open offices in Sanaa.

This came during his discussion today, in a virtual meeting via the Internet, with representatives of the nine donor countries, issues related to the needs of humanitarian work in Yemen.

Al-Hamli pointed out that the donor countries representatives should open offices in Sanaa in order to see closely about the extent of the suffering experienced by the people of Yemen and to directly supervise the grants provided by them to the Yemeni people.

He confirmed the readiness of the Council to present the necessary facilitates for their presence in Sanaa.

At the meeting, Al-Hamli reviewed the current situation and the humanitarian disaster caused by the aggression and siege in Yemen and the reduction of humanitarian aid.
