Parliament votes on road bill

SANAA, Jun. 06 (YPA) – The House of Representatives, in its session on Monday, headed by Parliament Speaker Yahya Al-Ra’i, voted on the road bill in light of the report of the Services Committee, after discussing and voting on it article by article.

The draft law contained 62 articles divided into ten chapters. The first and second chapters included the nomenclature, definitions, and objectives. The third and fourth chapters included the establishment of the Higher Council of Roads, the Ministry’s tasks in the field of roads, and the classification of the road network, while the fifth and sixth chapters included mechanisms for maintaining and protecting roads.
