Protest rally staged in Hadramout against deteriorating living conditions

HADRAMOUT, June.06 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens staged on Monday a protest rally in the city of Mukalla, the capital of the oil-rich Hadramout province, to denounce the deteriorating living conditions.

In the rally, the protesters closed the port of Mukalla and the oil company’s building to demand improving the essential services, especially electricity and waters.

They pointed out that the protests would continue in the streets of Mukalla, until services of water and electricity were provided by Aden government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.

The protesters carried banners calling for the improvement of basic services.

On Sunday, a civilian was wounded by coalition gunmen during angry protests, and a number of others were arrested, after they cut off a number of the main streets leading to the port of Mukalla in angry protest against deteriorating services of power and water.
