Saudi Arabia opens its airspace to flights of Zionist entity

SANAA, June.02 (YPA) – A Saudi-Zionist-Egyptian agreement had been reached, allowing Riyadh to impose its sovereignty over the islands of Tiran and Sanafir, in exchange for opening Saudi airspace to the flights of the Israeli enemy entity.

According to the Zionist Jerusalem Post newspaper, that the new security arrangements would be announced during US President Joe Biden’s visit to the region, at the end of June.

The Saudi Arabia wants to withdraw the multinational force that is currently stationed in the islands of Tiran and Sanafir, as soon as it controls them. The Strait of Tiran, where those forces were deployed after the Zionist entity and Egypt signed a peace treaty in 1979, in response to an Israeli condition, for fear of repeating the closure of the Strait of Tiran, in the era of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

The newspaper stated that the enemy entity agreed that this force would be stationed on what would remain Egyptian soil, several kilometers from the two islands.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia would allow all Zionist airlines to fly in its airspace, after they were confined during the previous period to Zionist flights to the Emirates and Bahrain.

The news came after the visit of the US National Security Council coordinator to the Middle East, Brett McGurk, and the envoy of the State Department for Energy, Amos Hochstein, to Saudi Arabia, in an attempt to finalize an agreement on the transfer of the islands of Tiran and Sanafir to Saudi sovereignty.
