Defense Minister confirms armed forces’ readiness to face any emergency

SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – Minister of Defense in Sanaa, Mohammed al-Atefi, affirmed on Tuesday the readiness of the Yemeni armed forces for all options in facing any emergency.

Major General Al-Atefi said in a statement “that the Saudi-led coalition is seeking to take advantage of the UN-brokered truce to pass its plans and arrange the ranks of its tools in preparing for an upcoming battle and pushing to ignite conflict and internal wars by establishing the so-called Saudi-formed Presidential Leadership Council.

“We tell the countries of aggression coalition that what they wish for will not be achieved, and they will be the first target, and the coming is more painful,” he added.

The Minister of Defense indicated that the Yemeni armed forces are committed to the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, with endurance, patience and steadfastness on the declared position.

Al-Atefi explained that the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Presidency of the General Staff, with its various leadership levels and its affiliated bodies and regions, have prepared the required equipment for qualitative military construction, modernization and development of integrated military, industrial and tactical means and methods.

He praised the steadfastness of the heroes of the army and popular forces and the free tribesmen who are facing the tyrants of the age and the enemies of the nation and peace, defending the Yemeni people and its legitimate right to build their present and future generations in a free, independent, strong and united Yemen away from foreign tutelage and domination.
