Sanaa receives ICRC delegation to visit prisons

SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs in Sanaa, Abdel Qader Al-Mortada, welcomed on Monday visits carried out by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)’s delegation to inspect prisons and see the conditions of the prisoners.

Al-Mortada said on Twitter that the visits came in the context of the regular visits undertaking by the delegation on an ongoing basis to inspect the conditions of the prisoners in Sanaa and other provinces.

“The refusal by the coalition’s party to the ICRC’s visits to its prisons will be a war crime against the prisoners, and the reality of the violations they practice against prisoners inside these prisons will be exposed,” he added.

The ICRC delegation is currently visiting the prisons of the coalition’s prisoners in Sanaa, which will last for two weeks.
