SANAA, May 29 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Interior said its security forces arrested on Sunday a Saudi citizen was trying to smuggle captagon.
In a news statement, the interior minister, Bassam Mawlawi, revealed that the attempt carried out by the Saudi man to smuggle 18.3 kilograms of Captagon narcotic pills to the State of Kuwait was thwarted.
The media office of the minister said: “The security forces proved once again that they are on the lookout for all attempts to smuggle drugs and contraband through Rafic Hariri International Airport” in Beirut.
“Minister Mawlawi affirms that work is continuing to protect our Arab societies from all kinds of harm, stressing that Lebanon will not be a corridor or platform for the export of evil or smuggling,” the statement added.
