Military tensions erupted among UAE-funded factions in Aden

ADEN, May 22 (YPA) – Military tensions erupted on Saturday among the UAE-funded armed factions in the city of Aden, east of Yemen.

Local sources said that the tensions intensified between the Tariq Afash forces and Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias backed by the UAE during the past hours in the center of the city.

The sources confirmed that the gunmen of “Tariq Afash” raised a large flag of the Yemeni unit inside the Ma’ashiq Palace, where the bodyguards of Abu Zara’a al-Maharrami, loyal to the STC, tried to take down the flag by force of arms.

“Tariq Afash” left the Ma’ashiq Palace, with dozens of his gunmen, towards the city of Mocha, where he is based as the headquarters of his forces.
