Three Syrian killed in Zionist aggression on outskirts of Damascus

DAMASCUS, May 21 (YPA) – At least three Syrian soldiers were killed after the ‘Israeli’ occupation’s warplanes launched fresh airstrikes on the outskirts of Damascus late on Friday, State-run SANA news agency reported, adding that the country’s air defenses intercepted “hostile targets.”

According to SANA, the attack took place at around 23:01 local time on Friday [20:01 GMT on Saturday]. The Zionist regime carried out the aggression from the ‘Israeli’-occupied Golan Heights targeting some points in the southern parts in southern Damascus.

“Three people were martyred and some material losses caused,” it said, citing a military source.

The report said the country’s air defense intercepted the “hostile targets” and shot down most of them.
