Russian forces destroy ‘US and European’ arms shipments in Ukraine

MOSCOW, May 17 (YPA) – Russia’s defense ministry said on Tuesday that its missiles destroyed US and European arms shipments in Ukraine’s western Lviv region.

According to the statement, Russian Air Force  also targeted, with high-precision missiles,  two command posts and a communications centre, including the 30th Automated Brigade, 28 military gathering areas and two warehouses of the Ukrainian armed forces .

The United States and a number of European countries, led by Germany and Britain, are supplying Kiev with advanced weapons.

On Monday, Russia said it had agreed to evacuate wounded Ukrainian soldiers  from Mariupol’s Azovstal Plant to medical institutions in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted that in the past 24 hours, its forces had killed “more than 470 extremist militants and disabled 68 units of military equipment”.
