SANAA, June 19 (YPA) – A military strategic expert on Tuesday warned that if Saudi-led coalition forces controlled Yemen’s western province of Hodeidah that means an Israeli control over the entire Red Sea.
“The battle of Hodeidah in Yemen is a decisive battle in the history of the aggression against Yemen,” the Lebanese military strategic expert Brig. Gen. Amin Hattit said.
Hodeidah is located on an area of 13,000 square kilometers with a long coast of 300 km, including the most important port on the Red Sea, which is the strategic entry of the Red Sea, he explained.
Hattit said the battle has a double impact on the resistance, Yemeni people, Ansarullah Movement and the forces that defend the sovereignty of Yemen and the hostile forces.
For the hostile forces, the control of Hodeidah coast means changing the Red Sea into an Israeli-Saudi- Atlantic lake, which would have an impact and a global dimension that extends beyond the region and reaches the international communications system, he added.
“Therefore, the major powers in NATO, namely the United States, Britain and France have a direct combat presence in the battle,” Hattit said.
