Coalition commits 4,067 violations of UN armistice in Yemen in 41 days

PROVINCES, May 14 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces continued to violate the humanitarian and military truce in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations, where the number of violations amounted to 4,067 violations during the past 41 days.

A military source in Sanaa said that the violations during the past hours amounted to 108 violations, represented by 32 flights of armed reconnaissance and espionage aircraft in the airspace of the Marib, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, Taiz, Bayda, and Dhalea provinces, and the fronts beyond the border.

The source confirmed that the coalition forces established combat fortifications in the vicinity of Marib city, and committed 12 breaches with artillery shelling and firing tank shells towards the homes of citizens in Al-Zour village and the sites of the army and the popular committees in Al-Rawdah, Serwah and Al-Balaq in Marib.

The coalition forces also targeted, with artillery, the positions of the army and committees in Al-Mazraq area in Hajjah, and in Al-Fakhida and Al-Amud areas in Wadi Jarrah in Jizan, according to the source.

The source pointed out that 63 violations with shooting at citizens’ homes and positions of the army and popular committees were recorded by in the provinces of Hajjah, Marib, Saada, Hajjah, Taiz, Dhalea, and Bayda and the fronts beyond the border.
