Sanaa records 3,557 violations of UN humanitarian truce in 37 days

SANAA, May 09 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition continued to violate the UN-sponsored humanitarian and military truce in Yemen, with 3,557 breaches for the past 36 days.

A military source in Sanaa said that the coalition forces’ violations during the past 24 hours amounted to 158 violations, of which 33 flights of Apache warplanes and reconnaissance drones over the airspace of the Al-Soh area of Najran and the provinces of Taiz, Saada, Dhalea, and the border fronts.

The source confirmed an air strike by armed aircraft and infiltration attempts on the positions of the Sanaa forces in the areas of Bani Hassan, Hairan and Haradh of Hajjah and Wadi Hamar, west of Maqbana district of Taiz.

3 violations of the coalition forces were monitored by creating fortifications in Al-Barh area in Taiz, Al-Halhel area of Bayda, and Harib district in Marib.

It recorded 107 breaches by heavy gunfire and artillery shelling at citizens’ homes and positions of the Sanaa forces in the provinces of Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, Dhalea and Bayda.
