SANAA, May 07 (YPA) – North Korea fired an unidentified projectile toward the East Sea of Japan on Saturday, the South Korean military said.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff did not give further details, while Yonhap quoted a source as saying that military authorities assumed that a ballistic missile had been fired.
The Japanese Coast Guard confirmed that North Korea had fired what is believed to be a ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan.
This comes after North Korea fired a ballistic missile last Wednesday, a few days before the inauguration ceremony of South Korean President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol.
