SANAA, April 20 (YPA) – Turkey’s Defense Ministry said that one of its troops was killed during the ongoing military operation dubbed “Claw Lock” against the PKK in northern Iraq after announcing the death of one of its officers on Monday.
“ The Lieutenant was killed in a rocket attack in the area of Operation Claw-Lock,” according to a statement carried Anadolu Agency Anatolia said in a statement.
Operations were continuing in the area with the support of the Air Force and fire support.
On Monday evening, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the death of a lieutenant soldier during Operation.
The Turkish army launched the major offensive against PKK hideouts and targets in the Metina, Zap and Avashin-Basyan regions in northern Iraq in the early hours of April 18, where the terrorist organization has its training camps and other hideouts.
