HODEIDA, April 19 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and another was wounded in Hodeida province on Tuesday due to the explosion of a landmine left behind by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition forces.
The Executive Center for Mine Action said in a statement that a mine from the remnants of the coalition forces went off and killed a citizen and injured another in al-Maghras area in al-Tuhaita district.
The center pointed out that the number of victims of the mines and cluster bombs left behind by the coalition forces in Hodeida rose to 262 victims, including deaths and wounded, since the beginning of this year only.
It called for humanitarian partners to play their role and pressure the United Nations Development Program to provide detectors to cleanse the province from the war remnants.
