Hodeidah attack will have catastrophic consequences: United Nations

GENEVA, June 18 (YPA) – The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, said on Monday the attack by Saudi-led coalition on Yemen’s city of Hodeidah to occupy its port will have a catastrophic impact at the humanitarian level.

In his speech to the UN Human Rights Council before the end of his term, al-Hussein expressed grave concern over the Saudi-UAE forces attack on Hodeidah, where the attack puts lives of millions of civilians at risk.

“The attack could cause significant civilian casualties and would have a catastrophic effect on the delivery of life-saving humanitarian aid coming through the port to millions of people,” he said.
