President Al-Mashat confirms Sanaa’s readiness for serious peace process

SANAA, March 29 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Tuesday confirmed the readiness of Sanaa if there is “a serious peace process.”

President Al-Mashat said, during an interview with the official Yemen TV channel today, that there is no relationship between Sanaa’s declaration of readiness for dialogue in a neutral country and what is being arranged in Riyadh.

He pointed out that the Riyadh consultations “have nothing to do with peace and their goal is to arrange the internal situation for mercenaries.”

President Al-Mashat affirmed that Sanaa’s demands are right, and “no one in this world can do Yemenis a favor with their rights.”

Al-Mashat made it clear that the Saudi-led coalition countries want to impose their will, noting that Sanaa has the right not to accept any proposals that contradict the demands and will of the Yemeni people.

He indicated that “the enemies reached a crisis and entered a quagmire from which they could not get out in the way they imagined.”

President Al-Mashat stressed that “all options are open and surprises are coming in the future,” calling on the coalition countries to respond to “the voice of reason.”
