SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – A Saudi ambassador dealt on Monday a slap at Saudi-exiled Hadi authorities because of the file of UAE-held Socotra Island, before the Riyadh consultations.
Activists on social media considered the selection of the Saudi ambassador, Mohammed Al Jaber, for a number of leaders who expelled the “Hadi” authorities from the island of Socotra in June 2020, in the so-called “Riyadh consultations” as unacceptable.
They confirmed that the chosen of the UAE-backed commander of the “First Marine Infantry Brigade” Ali Salmin, and the head of the “Southern Transitional Council” militia on the island, Raafat Al-Thaqali and others, ignored a number of leaders loyal to “Hadi.
The activists indicated that Saudi Arabia and the UAE prevented Hadi’s governor of Socotra, Ramzi Mahrous, from the return to the province to exercise his powers.
