Coalition seizes new emergency fuel ship

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) in Sanaa on Wednesday announced that the Saudi-led coalition had detained the third emergency fuel ship “Sundus” and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeida, northern the country.

The company’s spokesman, Issam Al-Mutawakel, said in a tweet on Twitter “the US-Saudi-led coalition seized the third emergency ship (Sundus), carrying 32,331 tons of gasoline.”

Al- Mutawakel added that the coalition detained the ship and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeida, despite it being inspected and is obtaining an entry permit from the United Nations.

He noted that the number of oil ships that have been held by the coalition rose to four so far.
