America confirms continued support to Saudi Arabia in Yemen war

SANAA, March 22 (YPA) – U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, affirmed on Tuesday that his country would continue to support Riyadh in its war on Yemen.

The US support came after the attacks launched by the missile forces in Sanaa on the Saudi oil installations and vital sites, with several missiles and drones, which caused material damage.

On Sunday, the military spokesman, Yahya Sarie, announced the launch of a third phase of attacks targeting vital facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The United States sent a large number of batteries of the Patriot air defense systems to Saudi Arabia last month, in an attempt to repel the Sanaa attacks, according to the American newspaper, “The Wall Street Journal.”

The U.S. statement does not carry anything new, as US is the one of countries taking part in the war on Yemen, by its continued support of Riyadh with various arms deals despite global calls demanding stop this support in order to bring peace to Yemen.
