Four STC’s leaders wounded in Shabwah

SHABWAH, March 21 (YPA) – Four leaders in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were injured in a traffic accident in Ataq, the administrative center of Shabwah province, local sources reported on Monday.

The sources explained that among the injured were the head of the organizing department of the STC and leaders in the financial, political and legal department of the Council.

For its part, the STC accused its opponents in the UAE factions, for masterminding the incident, which targeted its most prominent leaders in the rich-oil province.

On Saturday, Tariq Saleh’s forces suppressed demonstrations  for the STC in Ataq, demanding his expulsion from Shabwah and the closure of his political office.

These developments coincide with the escalation of mutual liquidations between coalition’s factions, as each one of them seeks to eliminate the other, to secure its presence in the next phase.
