Sanaa forces reveal details of military operations carried out over 7 years
SANAA, March 21 (YPA) – Over 13,208 military operations have been carried out for 7 years in the battle confrontations with the Saudi-led coalition forces, Spokesman for the Sanaa forces, Brigadier General, Yahya Sarie said.
In a press conference held to review the details of military operations during seven years of steadfastness in the face of the coalition, the spokesman Sarie explained that the military operations, included 6,681 offensives and 6,527 operations to confront and thwart the enemy’s offensive attempts and advances.
Brigadier-General Sarie pointed out that these operations resulted in the liberation of large lands in which the enemy had penetrated, inflicting the coalition forces heavy casualties, as well as destroying 17,397 armored vehicles, including troop carriers, tanks and bulldozers, weapons stores, and seizing large quantities of weapons.
More than 10,759 militants have been killed and wounded in the ranks of the Saudi enemy army, as well as the killing and wounding of 1,251 UAE enemy army and 10,440 Sudanese mercenaries, over the past 7 years.
Sarie revealed that the missile force carried out, since, 1,826 military operations, including 1,237 operations targeting the enemy’s gatherings, mobilizations, camps and headquarters inside the our country, and 589 operations targeted the enemy outside our national geography, including operations targeting the depth of the Saudi and Emirati enemies.
He pointed out that the missile force have a strategic stockpile to strengthen and constitute a defensive guarantee for this people against all conspirators and invaders.
Air Force Operations:
The spokesman indicated the Air Force carried out 11,562 operations, including 2,176 internal operations and 953 external operations, as well as 8,433 reconnaissance operations.
He added that the drone air force has, during the last year, expanded the circle of reconnaissance operations to include all the territories of the Saudi and Emirati enemies, in addition to the territorial waters of Yemen in the two Arab and Red Seas, as well as the Gulf of Aden and Bab al-Mandab.
Air Defense Operations:
A total number of air defense operations amounted to 4,221 operations, which varied between confronting and forcing departure, as well as interception and shooting down, while the air defense units succeeded in carrying out 1,971 shooting down and 2,250 repelling and interception operations.
About 158 combat reconnaissance planes, including 95 spy ones, 13 warplanes, 10 Apaches, and 34 armed US Air Force drones have shot down, as well as the downing of six helicopters, including the Black Hawk.
Naval Forces and Coastal Defense Operations:
Brigadier General Sarie reported that the naval and coastal defense forces carried out 35 qualitative operations, targeting the two Saudi frigates “Al-Madina” and “Dammam”, and UAE warship, in addition to seizing the Emirati military cargo ship “Rawabi” after Entering Yemeni waters.
Additionally, the spokesman revealed about 211 thousand and 136 operations, including the ground units military engineering – snipers – shields – and artillery, missiles shelling, and drones, which targeted enemy fortifications, gatherings and barracks, as well as destroying more than 1078 vehicles, armored vehicles, tanks, cannons, rocket launchers and weapons stores.
Sniper unit operations:
The total number of sniper operations since entering the battle line has reached 65,915 operations, which led shooting dead 941 Saudi soldiers and officers, and 1127 Sudanese soldiers, as well as 54,417 local mercenaries and downing 8 enemy reconnaissance aircraft.
