SANAA, March 15 (YPA) – Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman, Igor Konashinov, said on Tuesday its forces took over Ukraine’s southern region of Kherson Province.
This control came at a time when Ukrainian and British authorities warned of Moscow’s intention to declare Kherson as a new separatist republic there, like the republics of Luhansk and Donetsk.
On the other hand, the Interfax News Agency quoted the ministry as saying that the Russian forces had shot down six TB2 drone during the past 24 hours.
On Monday, the Ukrainian news agency quoted the mayor of Kherson, as saying that the city is suffering from “a run out of food, medicine and fuel, and there is no humanitarian corridor.”
Recently, this city witnessed blazing clashes and street fighting, while the Russian forces were witnessing increasing progress with the passage of time.
