President Al-Mashat stresses impotence of delivery of food aid to needy

SANAA, March 09 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, stressed the importance of the delivery of food aid to those in need.

This came during his meeting on Wednesday with the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamali.

In the meeting, Al-Mashat stressed the interest in implementing projects in the fields of health, water, roads, restoring public services, and focusing on projects that provide service to the Yemeni people in a sustainable way.

Mr. President affirmed that the United Nations should be concerned, in accordance with international laws and the Stockholm Agreement, to oblige the countries of Saudi-led coalition to fully lift the blockade, and to prevent unjust restrictions and illegal American piracy on imports of food, medicine and fuel.

The meeting discussed the catastrophic effects of the US blockade imposed on the Yemeni people.
